Enhanced

Effects

Attack property: the attack does not bounce on a standard block; only a Superior Block can deflect it.

⚠ Important

All heavy attacks have the Enhanced property by default. Some lights do too (e.g. Jormungandr, Shugoki).

Zone Attack

Effects

Multi-directional attack covering all three guard stances simultaneously. Costs significant stamina.

⚠ Important

Zone attacks cannot be bounced by any block, including Superior Block; they slide through all block types.

Unblockable Attack

Effects

Attack indicated by a red glow on the weapon; cannot be blocked. Can still be parried or dodged.

⚠ Important

Forces the opponent to react actively: dodge, parry, or interrupt the attack before it lands.

Undodgeable Attack

Effects

Attack indicated by a blue glow on the weapon; cannot be dodged. Can still be blocked or parried.

⚠ Important

Effective against heroes who rely heavily on dodge attacks (e.g. Tiandi, Zhanhu).

Enhanced Light Attack

Effects

Light attack that carries the Enhanced property: it does not bounce off a standard block.

⚠ Important

Makes a hero significantly more dangerous in chains since the opponent cannot simply block to reset.

Normal Light Attack

Effects

Light attack without the Enhanced property: bounces off a standard block, putting the attacker in recovery.

⚠ Important

The vast majority of basic light attacks in the game are normal lights.

Heavy Attack

Effects

Slower but more powerful attack; always carries the Enhanced property. Can be feinted.

⚠ Important

Parrying a heavy grants a smaller punish window (light or zone) compared to parrying a light.

Bait

Effects

Deliberate action designed to lure the opponent into a predictable and punishable response.

⚠ Important

E.g.: feinting a heavy to bait a dodge, then throwing a guard break or undodgeable attack.

Bash Stun

Effects

Stun state inflicted on the target hit by a bash; they cannot block or act for a brief moment.

⚠ Important

Often allows an ally to confirm an attack during the stun window.

Block Stun

Effects

Short recoil animation the defender suffers after blocking a non-Enhanced attack.

⚠ Important

Block stun is short and usually does not prevent the defender from acting quickly afterwards.

Superior Block (SB)

Effects

Property of certain attacks or stances: absorbs incoming attacks without impact damage and often confirms a guaranteed punish.

⚠ Important

SB bounces Enhanced and light attacks, but not zone attacks (which slide through all blocks).

SB on Dodge Attack

Effects

Superior Block is active during the dodge attack animation, absorbing any incoming counter-attacks.

⚠ Important

Provides an offensive advantage while retaining partial protection.
